Michael Graz Ph.D. C.Biol FSB

Michael Graz divides his time between consulting, teaching and spending time exploring the great outdoors with his wife. He received his Ph.D. in Anatomy and Human Biology from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa) in 1995, and his second Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2002 from the University of Port Elizabeth (South Africa).

For the past 17 he has worked and consulted in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, Monaco, Namibia, Chile, Argentina, Vietnam, Thailand and China working in various capacities ranging from CEO of an enzyme extraction business to General Manager of an IVD manufacturer and an aquaculture start-up company to Head of Group Technical for a frozen food company to technical and environmental consultant to lecturer and head of a research unit. 

Dr Graz has served as an industry advisor to the South African delegations to the Codex Alimentarius Commission meetings on Fish & Fishery Products and Food Additives & Contaminants. Furthermore, he has acted as temporary advisor to the FAO/WHO on the use of Chlorine Compounds in the Food Industry.

In 2009, Dr Graz was admitted to the status of Chartered Biologist and elected as Fellow of the Society of Biology.
